The Korean mmorpg Black Desert Online will have a new orchestrated version of its music, and famous European orchestras will be in charge!

PearlAbyss sees things big to replace the original MIDI soundtrack of its mmorpg, First of all, it is the original composer Hui Man Ryu aka Croove , cited as one of the best music directors of the Korean video game industry, who takes care of reworking the score. Then, you should know that 40 themes out of 240 are being rearranged to make them more impactful and more captivating than those of the MIDI soundtrack.

The idea is to immerse players in music: world, characters, story… In addition, new compositions specially created for the occasion are added. They will be integrated into the story and accentuate emotions and cinematics. PearlAbyss is looking for a system that allows players to select their soundtrack. So the nostalgic of the original will always have access to it.

"We do our best to provide the best possible musical rendering for our players and to enhance the wonderful world created by PearlAbyss," says Ryu. "From the village inn to the endless ocean, we hope to bring the world of Black Desert Online to life in your ears. I hope our adventurers enjoy this musical journey as much as I do. »

The remastered score will be conducted, performed and recorded by the Halle National Orchestra in Germany , with the support of the Prague and Budapest Orchestras, and will be conducted by Hui Man Ryu himself. He has been at the helm of the Black Desert Online ost since the very beginning of the game, he is the one who takes care of the sounds and music.
