Two years after the release of her first album Cry Baby, Melanie Martinez released her latest video: Mad Hatter.
After participating in the third edition of The Voice in the United States, the young New Yorker released her first album Cry Baby in August 2015, centered on childhood. This album of very good quality made Melanie Martinez a young pop star and took her to concerts all over the world.
Mad Hatter, the last chapter of Cry Baby
Cry Baby is an album that tells a story and each song is a continuation of the previous one. For two years, Melanie Martinez made clips for each song in the order of the opus, with a few exceptions. After twelve clips all as wacky and eccentric as the others, it came the turn of the thirteenth and last song, but also one of the best: Mad Hatter (meaning Mad Hatter in English).
Naturally, the clip makes many references to the universe of Alice in Wonderland including the "drink" on the bottle in the first seconds. Then, of her small size, Melanie evolves throughout the clip in a childish world of models and dolls but all this ends worse than expected…
