Soul Calibur VI will mark the return of the series in 2018 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC via Steam!
If you are a fan of fighting games, you probably remember the Soul Calibur series which offered intense combat with melee weapons. The first opus had marked the era of the Dreamcast. Subsequently, the series had diversified on multi media until an excellent third opus. Then… Ben… how to say… The series has lost its superb. We're not going to lie: between the unlikely (and fanciful) crossover with Star Wars of Soul Calibur IV and the lack of content justified by an online orientation of the 5th opus, the series has been put on hold for a long time.
But it is with eyes full of hope that we will remember together what was the strength of the series in the past (I mean before episode 4). We remember charismatic characters, Dantesque fights, but also a story developed at length. At the heart of the events, the struggle to possess two legendary weapons: Soul Edge and Soul Calibur. The first, cursed, brought power to its user, but also pumped his soul. We also remember the excellent "chronicles of the sword" mode of Soul Calibur III which offered RPG elements.
We will hope for the best of Soul Calibur VI. And to whet your appetite, I'll leave you with the trailer.
