For those of you who do not know this little gem of a series, it is an adaptation of Douglas Adams' novels. We follow Dirk Gently, played by the excellent Samuel Bernett, a rather eccentric detective who lets life take its course to solve his investigations. He will meet Todd Brotzman, in the guise of Elijah Wood, a hotel bellhop a little loser on the edges who will gradually become (despite himself) Dirk's assistant. Most of the series focuses on a very simple principle: nothing happens by chance. And it is from this that we discover a series totally crossed out with this little "something" that we do not find everywhere.
It is therefore a shame that Dirk Gently, Holistic Detective was canceled after only two seasons and especially in a way that seems a little rushed. In France, season 1 is available on Netflix.
