Season 7 will begin in April for a short duration of only eight episodes.
April 10, 2018: This is the fateful date that will mark the beginning of the end for New Girl. In total, eight episodes will air over six weeks and the series will definitely end with a one-hour episode in two parts on May 15. And as some rumors suggested, the plot of this season will take place three years after the end of season 6.
Warning, SPOILERS to follow if you have not finished season 6 of New Girl and do not want to know some elements of season 7! After a literary tour in Europe, Nick (Jake Johnson) and Jess (Zooey Deschanel) return to California and the idea of marriage seems to be trotting in the head of the young woman. Their situation could be complicated by the time Jess accepts a job with her ex-boyfriend, Russell (Dermot Mulroney). Meanwhile, Cece (Hannah Simone) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) are now the proud parents of a little girl, Ruth, and we will discover Schmidt as a stay-at-home father. Finally, we will be able to find Winston (Lamorne Morris) and Aly (Nasim Pedrad), who will now be married and expecting a little baby!
In addition to the regular cast, many guests should make at least one appearance in this final season! Examples include Dermot Mulroney (Russell), Damon Wayans Jr (Coach), David Walton (Sam), Nelson Franklin (Robby) and even Jaime Lee Curtis and Rob Reiner (Jess' parents).
New Girl will return for the seventh and final season on April 10, 2018!
