The world of the Western has for some time found some beautiful colors thanks to quality works like the Godless of Netflix. Hostiles, Scott Cooper's latest film, should continue this momentum. Its latest trailer, oppressive at will, delivers excellent sequences.

We must not limit ourselves to the latest nominations of the Oscars 2018 to see good films this year. Indeed, Hostiles which is not included has strong arguments to make you spend a good time in the dark rooms when it is released in France on March 14. The atmosphere of the film is clearly felt from the first minutes of this new trailer. There will be no room for good feelings.

Carried by a Christian Bale particularly at ease in the roles of men in the grip of dramatic situations, Hostiles plunges us into an America at the end of the 19th century. A U.S. Army captain must escort the Yellow Hawk Indian chief to his homeland. A mission that does not suit him since this man embodies everything he has fought for years.

The cold world portrayed by the filmmaker is not to be put in everyone's hands. Indeed, Hostiles turns out to be a violent western that should give violent sequences. Is it useful to show many violent scenes on screen? In addition to an interesting cast since we find Rosamund Pike and Wes Studi (the last of the Mohicans), the film should analyze the consequences of the barbaric acts of the time.

The film was distributed in France by the Metropolitan.
