Calum Scott will release his debut album, Only Human on March 9. Justfocus had the chance to discover it exclusively and we entrust you with our first impressions.

Calum Scott is this young man who moved England and then the world with his cover of Robyn's Dancing On My Own at Britain's Got Talent 2015. Since then he had started to make a name for himself with a few titles… But it is really since the beginning of the year that we hear about him insistently.

We knew that an album was coming out soon and the announcement of the date of March 9 delighted us. We just couldn't wait to hear how this opus would be composed and we are not disappointed.

From the first track, If Our Love Is Wrong, we feel that this album was composed and written with heart and with a desire to equal singers like Sam Smith or Adele. The arrangements are neat with the presence of some stringed instruments that tune very well with more electro sounds, giving the titles more depth and breadth.

The whole is balanced and pleasant to listen to from one end to the other. It includes…

Sweetness with titles like You Are The Reason (which we shared recently in a playlist), Dancing On My Own, Only You, Hotel Room, Not Dark Yet … The latter is a very beautiful Piano/Voice that made us melt completely.

Intensity with titles like Give Me Something, If Our Love Is Wrong, Come back Home, Won't Let You Down, Good To You… Titles that modulate between soft passages and choruses taking, which fly away or agitate, very expressive. We feel that Calum Scott put a lot of him in this first album.

Fun with a song like Rhythm Inside that makes you want to dance, laugh, jump and enjoy life to the fullest.

or like What I Miss Most which rises in power and gives wings, a great wind of freedom!

Stop Myself (Only Human) is our little favorite : this song has all the ingredients of a hit. And the lyrics are really nice!

A perfect album of English pop as we like it where everything is gathered to make us vibrate. A soundtrack that can accompany you without problem on a daily basis

While waiting for March 9, we invite you to find him on his official website or on his Facebook page !!

An English tour will begin in April with dates in Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester and Bristol and will end in London on April 24.

We just have to wait until April 26 to see him perform on the Yoyo stage! We can't wait!
