Season 5 of The 100, one of the most successful CW series of recent years is long overdue! While waiting for his return on April 24, here is everything we know about it…
New characters and cast
Before talking about the newcomers, it is important to note that Tasya Teles, the interpreter of Echo, was promoted to regular in the series, and no longer recurring. It is therefore likely that it will have a greater role than before.
As for Clarke's daughter, Madi will no longer be interested in imogen Tear as we saw at the end of season 5. Instead, we'll see Lola Flanery, known for her role in Shadowhunter! "This is a very important relationship for Clarke. They are connected in the same way that a mother and daughter can be," says one of the producers of the series.
5 new actors join The 100:
- Shannon Kook (Degrassi: The Next Generation), who was seen at the end of season 4. At the moment, no information about his character is known.
- Mike Dopud (Power) will play Vinson, one of the prisoners of the mysterious ship that landed during the last season finale. Beneath Vinson is a "ruthless serial killer, terrifying enough that even the most horrific criminals will listen."
- William Miller, also plays one of the criminals present in this ship, Robert McCreary. He is a former gang member. "His ruthless methods make him an excellent antagonist for our heroes."
- Ivana Milicevic (Gotham) will interpret Charmain Diyoza. She is described as a "ruthless military strategist who will confront directly" Clarke and her gang.
- Jordan Bolger (Peaky Blinders) will be a self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie named Zeke Shaw, "brimming with intelligence, a strong and brave mind"
On the production side…
The opening credits of the series will change totally for this new season. Some (slight) changes had been made in the past, but with the land completely destroyed again, the landscape is probably not the same…

Note that the showrunner of The 100, Jason Rothenberg, announced that at least one of these titles is a decoy, used by the writers when the titles began to leak.
Despite their respective situations, if we refer to some shooting photos, Clarke, Bellamy and Octavia should find each other quite quickly. Flashbacks will also be used again, to tell what happened during the last 6 years.
