Namco Bandaï announces the arrival of a new character straight from another Square Enix license.

Since then, the surprise has subsided. But personally, I've struggled to get over it since the announcement. I'm obviously talking about the arrival of Noctis Lucis Caelum in Tekken 7. Taken from the controversial yet highly profitable Final Fantasy XV , the prince will magically summon his weapons to use against Kazuya Mishima, Paul Phoenix, and all the other characters in Namco's fighting game.

The announcement was surprising as the universes are different, but crossovers in fighting games have become commonplace. We think in particular of the very recent announcement of Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher 3 in Soul Calibur VI, another title published by Namco Bandaï. And how to forget the presence in the fourth opus of the saga of Darth Vader and Yoda who had really lost themselves in a galaxy far, far away.

But I digress. You'll find Noctis in Tekken 7 on March 20 accompanied by five alternate outfits. Of course, you can use all this in the Tekken Bowl mode (which was part of DLC No. 1). The exclusive "Hammerhead" stage will also be part of the event. It will include three songs from Final Fantasy XV. Isn't life beautiful? There, for once, it's up to you to see…
