Video games and E-sport have often been debated, including the fact that they could make their appearance at the Olympics. In addition to too violent video games that would not meet the criteria of the Olympic Games, League of Legends , more moderate, already has a very important place in E-sports. LOL is surely the most followed game worldwide and spawns large-scale e-sports events such as Worlds where the best teams from around the world come to compete for the title of world champion.

A diverse and active French scene

The French scene is characterized by very good professional teams like GamersOrigin, Vitality Academy, Team LDLC or Gentside but also by teams composed of streamers like Solary, the Stream Team, ArmaTeam or Lamasticrew. Diverse and totally different teams that aim this year to win the Open Tour France, an official circuit bringing together several LANs. Competitions broadcast on twitch thanks to the different structures of streamers and O'Gaming. Teams of streamers who give French E-sport a high visibility, many fans follow them and support their projects. Solary's example is important, thanks to donations from his community, the team of steamers went to Korea to discover the biggest stage in the world of League of Legends ! But for the moment it is Team LDLC who is leading the Open Tour France thanks to their victory at Lyon Esport 2018 but this is only the beginning and all the teams are still in the race. Soon the Open tour France will continue with the Gamers Assembly which will take place in Poitiers from March 31st to April 2nd

French gems on the international scene

From the point of view of the international scene, French players are not to be underestimated. We all remember the huge performance that the French player Hans-sama of the Misfits team gave us during last year's words against the great champions SKT T1. A young prodigy on the botlane who will not finish surprising us but who has trouble expressing himself this season. In the same vein, the talented young player Nisqy makes his appearance internationally in the Splyce team on the midlane. A player with great potential who is already proving himself by performing well and thus placing his team in 3rd place in the European championship. On the other hand we find the veteran Soaz who has become a legend of the toplane, always present in the important moments of his teams, he remains a great strength for his team Fnatic moreover at the top of the LCS EU Spring split 2018. In the same example we find Cabochard, pillar of the Vitality team in toplane, the French player carries his team to 4th place in the 2018 EU LCS.

E-sport continues to grow thanks to these players and it is with great interest that we follow the performance of these. E-sport can only evolve with today's society and who knows that we will soon find these players at competitions like the Olympics!
