After the success of the first part of It in the cinema, it seems that the nightmares do not end right away. Director Andy Muschietti has announced that he is ready to start production on the sequel and wake up Grippe-sou!

Chapter 2

It was definitely a huge success. With revenues of more than $700 million worldwide, it has become the most viewed horror film in theaters in history. Yet he had before him great successes like The Exorcist or the Conjuring saga.Producer/director Andy Muschietti has proven that it is possible to create successful remakes. In France, the film also climbed to 4th place among horror films that have exceeded 2 million admissions. In front of him, The Exorcist, Scream 3 and another Stephen King adaptation: The Shining. Hollywood and Warner Studios are therefore on the alert to produce a second part.

"You're going to float too!" (Flu-penny)

If the production seems ready, what do we know about the continuation of the adventures of the "Club des Losers"? The film will take place 27 years after the events of the first. Logical, because in the film, "It" comes to life every 27 years to feed on children. Naturally, the cast is subject to change. If Bill Skarsgård will reprise his role as Grippe-sou the dancing clown, we do not know much about the new cast. However, regarding the role of Beverly, the only girl of the gang, Jessica Chastain is the most approached. It is also in negotiations with the studios. Other actors are also mentioned, such as Chris Pratt or Jake Gyllenhaal.

Chapter 2

As for the casting of the children, Andy Muschietti has already confirmed that they will be back. They will serve as a link between the first and second chapters. The director also teased this return on Instagram with the caption: "Stand up losers, Derry is calling you."
