The promotion of Solo – A Star Wars Story is impressively increasing ! It must be said that film comes out in less than two months and that the studio had been very discreet until then. After the announcement of its preview presentation at the Cannes Film Festival, it is in a new trailer that the most emblematic smuggler of the Star Wars universe reveals himself a little more. Focus!
The first trailer of Solo – A Star Wars Story had already partially revealed the atmosphere of this "space western". This new trailer seems to confirm this atmosphere, but this time accentuates the relationships between the characters as well as the way many met. One thinks in particular of Han and Lando, whose relationship we should discover in the past. Moreover, it seems that the film makes us discover their iconic Sabacc game in which Lando lost the Millennium Falcon to Han. This episode is well known to fans of the Extended Universe who have become "Legends" (and are therefore no longer part of the official Canon). So that's enough to please a good portion of fans by making this event official in the new Canon.
Much more surprising: we have a glimpse of what could be Chewbacca's child, or a member of his family. Or is it just an average Wookie saved by the colossus Chewie. Anyway, it presages a story arc dedicated to the famous Wookie and maybe even a return to Kaskyyyk, home planet of this species seen in Star Wars episode III (and in Star Wars Holiday Special but this one we prefer to forget!). By the way, we learn in this trailer that Chewie is easily bicentennial… ! The bugger is visibly well preserved (for our greatest pleasure because it is always nice to find this emblematic ball of stuffed animals on our screens).
With these promising new images, concerns about the quality of the film begin to subside, as it seems that Ron Howard did a good job despite his parachuting on set. Before landing in theaters on May 23, Solo – A Star Wars Story will offer a passage on the Croisette to be presented in preview. No doubt it will attract a crowd of impatient fans!
