On May 16, the group Cats On Trees took possession of La Cigale, in the heart of Paris. The opportunity for them to defend their new album Neon. The public largely responded to a full and fiery date.
Cats On Trees had considerable success in 2014 with their first track Sirens Call. And since then, it has been a real flight for the group with a first double platinum album and many stage presentations, often complete. The band is even preparing a concert at the Olympia on February 19, 2019.
A vibrant, lively concert close to its audience
9 p.m., start of the concert. The atmosphere settles, mysterious almost as if out of time. Arriving soberly on the stage of La Cigale, Cats On Trees begins its concert with a simple musical opening and vocalizations of Nina, singer of the group. After a moment in the dark, the band began their first song, If You Feel, from their latest album. By staying behind their instruments, the members amaze us with boundless energy.
But it is on the second track that the atmosphere of the public will set the tone of the concert with Mama Said. A first revival with the public will be made, tying the link between the band and the fans.
New album, new scenography
The next three titles Keep On Dancing, the very famous Jimmy and You Win offer a play of light of the most controlled. Alternating between white, blue, purple, yellow and green neon, the group surprises us with its staging.
After a break to thank its audience for coming to "the most beautiful room in Paris", the group gives us a beautiful performance of their two "Tiki": Tikiway and Tikiboy, the audience responding very widely present.
The emotion and fervor of the audience
Three ballads will punctuate the concert, each with its surprise: the first is a new one. Ellie, specially concocted for a member of their team, present at this moment in the room, will demonstrate the love that seems to emanate from the French duo. A second surprise, that of the cover of Beat It by Michael Jackson. Finally, Blue, from their last album, will bring to a surprise on the part of the public, who had brought from his luggage blue luminous bracelets as well as paper hearts. Emotion from the band and the audience. Everyone is conquered!
Surprising by her vocal talent, Nina continues with Yohan, the drummer and their singers with 4 titles, including the very famous Sirens Call, taken up in chorus with the public. All to dynamite the atmosphere with a crazy energy, the highlight of the concert.
1h30 of madness and emotion
After a fervent reminder of the crowd, the band reappears but in an unexpected place: in the middle of the audience! Before starting their cover of Selena Gomez's Love You Like A Love Song , Cats On Trees has fun. The group decides to cut the room in two, and to know who will shout the loudest. Team Yohan won!
The band will return to the stage one last time for Lion and Halo Ms. Jones, before leaving a dazzled and happy Cicada.
Cats On Trees in concert is an unexpected and timeless moment. The relationship between the audience and the band was very strong throughout the concert. Between anecdotes, humor and thanks, Cats On Trees will have put everyone in agreement, and so will we!
