For those who don't know him, Liqid is a figure in the electro-rap scene. His lease is to use video game samples to compose his prods! The effect is electric.
Course
Les Gourmets of which he was a part and was affiliated with this electro hip-hop scene of the early 2000s. With this entity he has produced 5 projects and provided nearly 200 concerts accompanying La Caution, TTC or Les Svinkels on stage. On the solo side, he has had the opportunity to talk about him thanks to several projects in his career.
One of his biggest projects is Liqid against the rest of the world or Imbéciles Heureux (a project financed on KissKissBankBank with a goal reached at more than 200% and on which we find in particular featurings with Kool Keith, Kéroué, Josman …). Finally AMAL, a charity compilation bringing together the best of beatmaking (20Syl, Scratch Bandits Crew, GUTS, Al'Tarba…) and for which he took charge of all the artistic direction. In the same vein, he has been providing workshops in Jordan for more than a year now to transmit this passion for hip-hop and introduce refugees to this culture.
New project
This year he returns with a new solo project, composed solely on the basis of video game samples, this project was recorded in the space of a week of voluntary confinement and will be released on May 23rd! In recent weeks, Liqid has been unveiling this project in dribs and drabs, via the distribution of capsules on Facebook.
This EP tells the story of a thirty-year-old geek rapper, a kind of sublime loser completely addicted to pills, alcohol and his depression. A guy who can't let go. The writings are quite close to the "looser cool" style popularized in particular by Orelsan. Everything is pleasant and we can not help but look for which games the sample is taken!
New project available on soundcloud from May 23rd. Liqid is one of the artists who contributes to vary the world of Hip-Hop and diversify it in order to satisfy a maximum of audience.
