It's already been four months since the Open Tour, Riot Games' national championship, on League of Legends, sees professional but also amateur players compete against each other. Its success is such that three new steps are added with increasingly high audiences and the signing of a partnership with the cereal brand LION, from NESTLE.

After taking place in Lyon (Lyon e-Sport), Poitiers (Gamers Assembly), Tours (DreamHack) and Montpellier at the beginning of June (Occitanie Esports), it is in Metz (ESWC Metz) on 08 and 09 September, in Valenciennes (Valenciennes Game Arena) on 13 and 14 October and in Marseille (HeroFestival) on 10 and 11 November that the 3 new dates will take place. Once these 7 stages are completed, the 6 best teams will compete to determine the France champion, mid-November.

Marco Garnier, Esport Lead in charge of the Open Tour says: "The Open Tour has contributed positively to the structuring of the French esports scene, the results are very encouraging. However, there is still a lot to do, as a priority to ensure with the events of the correction of technical problems too frequent at the moment. "

For Fabien Bonnet, President of the FuturoLAN Association, organizer of the Gamers Assembly, it is also "a pledge of confidence more than appreciated for national e-sport events. For several years, LAN parties have seen the birth of talent and contributed to the development of the French e-sport scene. The involvement of Riot Games and its French office is crucial and shows that there are still many great projects to be realized! ".

In total, since the beginning of the competition last February, more than 200 teams have competed in the first 3 stages in front of more than 400,000 spectators cumulated per stage!
