This year, as every year for the past 8 years, the FNAC offers us an exceptional program for its free Parisian festival: Fnac Live 2018! An event not to be missed.
If summer in Paris seems like a chore, don't panic. As every year, the square in front of the town hall comes alive to the sound of the best in terms of music.
This year, Fnac particularly spoiled us with a crazy program. About thirty concerts with French and international artists with burning news. Here's something not to be bored:
Thursday at FNAC Live
Jeanne Added will open the ball at 7pm. This gives you time to leave your job in after work mode to enjoy a happy hour of music with this talented singer and rock 'n roll.
She will be closely followed by Voyou, a new name to discover. Coming from the formations Elephanz and Pegase, he is now going solo with a French electro pop project. In parallel, those looking for a little calm can take refuge in the living room to listen to Dominique A in piano voice mode for a more intimate concert.
At 20:10 you will have an appointment with the unmissable Asaf Avidan who is about to give us a show as in his beginnings: alone on stage, between blues and folk. We love it!
It will then be the turn of Moha la Squale to take over. Suffice to say that it will be complicated to go after the talented Israeli, but it is an interesting challenge to meet.
The second part of the evening will start strong with Petit Biscuit, the young prodigy of electro raised 2 years ago now. We hope you will be fit to dance!
The evening will end with a live set by Vitalic ODC. This electro pundit that we no longer present and whose techno music will shake the cobblestones.
Friday at FNAC Live
It will be necessary to count on the presence of Caballero & Jeanjass to open this beginning of the weekend. Belgian rap with a diction that holds the road and lyrics that click. It's soaring but also impactful. We hang on.
You will have to take a look in the living room Friday at 18:30 to discover Tiwayo. An atypical timbre of voice, soul, blues, with such a particular grain. Between Janis Joplin and Otis Redding… To see without fail !!
We will have the chance to hear Angele ! This crazy and frank young singer, sincere and relevant. She killed us with her Murphy's Law. A real pleasure to know it in programming.
One of our favorites : Anna Leone will be present at FNAC Live and you should not miss her concert in the living room. A very beautiful moment in perspective. Its universe will undoubtedly seduce you.
Sopico will come to put his flow at 19:45. This rapper from Paris Nord. He will offer a guitar voice version of his titles. Surprising approach and that may be worth the detour if you are curious.
The moment not to be missed at FNAC Live this year is the presence of this incongruous and long-awaited duo: Sting, the great and wonderful Sting, will be accompanied by Shaggy for music far removed from Police but a musical experience that deserves the detour.
A tender and committed little discovery: Degree. A folk music from Nantes that has nothing to envy to those from whom they are inspired: James Blake, Chet Faker, Bon Iver… Thrill guaranteed! We highly recommend it!!
Beginning of electro hostilities with this time Synapson in the second part of the evening. The duo will shake you up as it should with House music that everyone knows now. And all in live set of course!
A name is still unknown and will be unveiled shortly, scheduled on the forecourt at 20:10! Surprise!
Saturday at FNAC Live
The last evening of the festival will begin at 6pm with L'Ordre du Périph. Suburb represent, these 4 young people have many things to say and a geek culture … Yours truly. They recently won the Inouïs springboard at the Printemps de Bourges.
If you are looking for something different and less hip hop, you can take refuge in the living room to discover Foé. Synth pop song cheeky and immature. It's confusing!
He will be followed by Melissa Lavaux, a singer influenced by her Creole origins and whose music is listened to as a voodoo rite. It's captivating, trippy and intoxicating! We love and recommend!
The voice that will go on stage next will draw tears of emotion: Jacob Banks is a singer from Nigeria whose soul, blues music, also mixes a little electro and hip hop. All with grace and elegance. A real happiness. To be enjoyed urgently!
Yorina will then appear on the stage of the Parvis. We discovered it not long ago and we fell for its lightness, its softness. Intense and voluble at the same time. This little protégé of Dan Levy from The Do has a future.
For those who prefer French song, you will have to go to the living room to listen to Françoise Fabian. Grand dame of cinema, she knew how to surround herself for her first Opus: Julien Clerc, Charles Aznavour…
It will then be necessary to give way to the energy and the verb of Gaël Faye. This author and rapper knows how to handle the language of Molière brilliantly and we thank him! Intelligent music, but not only. He also knows how to party well and will demonstrate it to you by A + B.
From hip hop to the feminine that sounds loud and slams! Aloïse Sauvage is a kind of Eddy de Pretto in the feminine. She has things to say and we listen to her with pleasure. His verb is incisive and very well cut. Talent to follow!
We no longer present the Ibeyi sisters, this duo of sensitive, vibrant and so catchy voices. Their second album marked us: between subtle arrangement and committed texts. We'll love it on stage!
The evening and the festival will close with Angus & Julia Stone. An essential duo of radiant pop perfectly calibrated and controlled that you swing until the end of the night. Airy and powerfully unifying, their sound will take you further than you think.
