After Japan Expo 2017 and the arrival of mangaka Irono who began her series The grim reaper and an argent cavalier, Kana editions will make us enjoy the presence of Atsushi OHKUBO for the 2018 edition of the festival.
Discovered by Kurokawa with his manga Soul Eater published in France from 2009, Atsushi OHKUBO is one of the best sellers of the publisher, as well as Fullmetal Alchemist. His manga tells the adventures of three charismatic duo in their training of soul reapers to reach the high rank of "Death Scythe". Taking up multiple legends around the world, he delivers us a work full of action, but also humor. Adapted into an anime in 2008 by the Bones studio, the series is praised by fans. Closed in 25 volumes, the author decides to continue to expand his universe with a spin-off named Soul Eater not. Although also adapted into anime, this second opus does not particularly take off and concludes in 5 volumes.
Nevertheless, Atsushi OHKUBO marks the spirits at his Japanese publisher of the moment, Square-Enix. However, it is at Kodansha that he will sign his new title named Fire Force. A title oriented towards the soldiers of fire, in a world that also sees characters with special abilities. The series currently has 13 volumes in the Land of the Rising Sun, compared to 6 in France and is published by Kana.
