After The Tomb of the Fireflies, Your Name and Sherlock Holmes, Vicklatereur dissects today the Blu-ray box set of Grimgar, the world of ashes and fantasy published by @Anime! Released in 2016 in Japan, the anime Grimgar, the world of ashes and fantasy, also known by its original name Hai to Gensô no Grimgar is an adaptation of the eponymous light-novel written by Jyumonji Ao and drawn by Shirai Eiri. Broadcast at the time in simulcast on Wakanim, this production of A-1 Pictures plunges us into a fantasy world where our main character Haruhito and other teenagers like him are projected. In this world they discover, they will have to find a way to survive… It was finally in February of this year that @Anime released the DVD and BR collector's versions of this work.   Synopsis:

When Haruhito wakes up, he is in the dark. He no longer knows where he is, who he is or where he comes from. Around him, men and women he does not know are in the same situation. They then discover that they are in a world similar to a video game called "Grimgar". To survive in this hostile environment and understand what is happening to them, they will have to team up, cooperate and learn new skills.
