The Black lilys were back in the capital for a whirlwind concert at the three donkeys. Too short… But a real pleasure to find them.
The three donkeys is one of its rooms open to discovery. With its formula one evening / three concerts, it allows aspiring artists to take a little space on the Parisian scene.
Tuesday, June 5, Camille and Robin de Black lilys opened the ball. And we know how the exercise of the first part of the evening is not obvious. First of all, because the Parisian public is not known to be punctual; Then because you have to know how to ensure quickly to embark an audience that sometimes expects another artist. Here, the program of the three donkeys really allows to leave room for each group and the public really comes for the discovery. And so the room was already full when the sister and brother enter the stage. A surprise but above all a real pleasure that the Lyonnais will share intensely with those who have made the effort to come on time.
The concert opens with Blood Ties. We then realize that the cocoon of the three donkeys suits them perfectly. The applause is not long in coming. The audience is already captivated, conquered.
Black lilys continues on Nightfall and the concert increases in intensity. The lights have been well worked and participate in the atmosphere of the songs.
At the end of this title, Camille takes the floor to introduce their duet. She says that this is not the first time they have performed at the three donkeys and that the last time, the atmosphere was very special. After having themselves been public in this room and tested the comfort of the armchairs, they understood what was due to the tranquility of the public. "We hope you are well settled but feel free to move."
The concert resumes on Wrong timing. In feeling that this piece carries away and despite the cozy side of the seats, some heads swing.
Then it's time to delve into emotions with Dust of you. Although softer, this title raises the enthusiasm of the audience who is more and more expressive over the setlist.
We then enter Behind the street. Here too there is a rise in power that takes to the guts and ends in apotheosis. Live it's a thrill guaranteed!
But the concert is already coming to an end and it is with regret that Camille announces the last song. This is Shelter. Attentive, the three donkeys savor until the last note before exploding in shouts of support and applause.
As Robin and Camille leave the room deeply thanking the Parisians, everyone is already eager to meet them at the entrance. Adults, but also some children who came with their parents, completely hypnotized by the compositions of Black lilys and eager to ask them questions… With the shyness and candor of young fans. It's touching and we remember our interview. Their music has no generational boundaries, it's obvious!
As Camille said at the end of the concert: "It was short but intense". We know they are already looking forward to coming back and so are we. We are also curious about what their music would give in a room with a standing audience… A little couch of the world… Or why not a trianon. We wish them well!
