Creed 2 is the sequel to the movie Creed – the legacy of Rocky Balboa, released on January 13, 2016 in France. The latter tells the story of the young boxer Adonis Johnson, who turns out to be the hidden son of the late former world heavyweight boxing champion: Apollo Creed (opponent, trainer, then friend of Rocky Balboa). As a reminder, Apollo died in the ring after two rounds of extreme violence against the nascent champion of the USSR Ivan Drago (Rocky IV released in 1985.) Adonis, coached by Rocky himself, will take the name of his father, a renowned boxer, to follow in his footsteps.
A Family Affair
In this second Opus, Adonis will face the life of a boxing champion and father, between training room, ring and family home. Adonis will face Ivan Drago's son, Viktor, (a rising star like his father at the time) 30 years after Ivan's meeting with Apollo (which proved fatal for the latter). A revenge for the Creed family, although Rocky has already avenged his late friend by going to face Ivan Drago in Moscow and defeating him by KO in the 15th round (Rocky IV).

A leap into the past
However, with a sense of déjà vu, Rocky will try to dissuade Adonis Creed from fighting Viktor Drago. But proud and proud, like his father, (Rocky points this out to him in the trailer) Adonis feels offended and is convinced that Rocky does not believe he can beat him ("This guy is dangerous" Balboa tells Creed). Small flashback for Rocky who sees his friend Apollo ask him to coach him for the fight against Ivan Drago. "That's what your father said and he died in my arms," Rocky sends to Adonis.

Boxer once, Boxer always
"But rage and the will to box can't be removed like you turn off a radio," Apollo Creed told Rocky. Adonis can count on the support of Rocky and his family. However, Balboa does not hesitate to tell Creed that nothing is more important than family values, that you can lose everything overnight. It was then that the Italian Stallion coached the son Creed and prepared him for the fight against Viktor Drago.
For this sequel, Michael B.Jordan will reprise the role of Adonis. We will find Sylvester Stallone in the role of Rocky (role that pushed him to fame) but also Dolph Lundgren who will play 30 years after Rocky IV, The grizzly of Siberia Ivan Drago. Florian Munteanu will take on the role of Viktor Drago

The trailer remains both gripping and mysterious. But, we only see very briefly the young Drago. However, fans wondering how the opponent of the main character will be, the question of the intensity of the fight is also raised. Moreover, at the beginning of it, we see Adonis in a hospital bed, surely the consequences of a hard fight. Release scheduled in theaters on January 9, 2019. Fans of all generations will witness this battle of legends.
