For this fourth season, the CW channel and the series Jane The Virgin gave us 17 episodes in which Jane Villuaneva and her family once again made us laugh or cry in some episodes! (Spoilers) Cancer, childhood love, marriage, "Green Card" and Michael's potential return are all the highlights that touched us this season!

Jane has lived a long adventure full of twists and turns since her artificial insemination by accident, worthy of a telenovela produced by her father Rogelio by the way! During this season, and as during the previous 3 Rogelio had a lot of fun with his cult replicas of a 15-year-old teenager. Always crazy about his telenovela he is forced to co-produce it with Catalina, new partner, with whom he will have to get along and who promises to be very stubborn too.

Before renewing her relationship with Rafael and in order to forget Michael for good, Jane is first freshly single, then finds her childhood love aka Tyler Posey (Scott from Teen Wolf) then becomes "sex-friends" with Rafael, then FINALLY gets with Rafael for good after 4 seasons!

During this fourth season Xiomara discovers that he has breast cancer that will weaken him as the episodes go by and more and more.

Finally, after going to the hairdresser, Petra tries to juggle between the "fake suicide" of her twin sister Anezka, between her mother Magda who tries to turn her brain, between the Marbella business and between a new relationship with her lawyer. There's work for Petra!

A final season full of twists and turns!

Ok, season 4 was not bad. But the final season left us speechless! Having worked hard, Alba passed her U.S. citizenship test. Jane then prepared a surprise party for him where all the members of the Villuaneva family are present including Jorge who proposed to Alba (so cute as the narrator of the series would say)! As far as Xo is concerned, his cancer has really weakened him and his condition has deteriorated because of chemo. We hope that she will succeed in fighting her disease definitively in season 5 (because yes season 5 is renewed!).

At this party, to celebrate Alba's success, Jane and Rafael announced their move in together. This displeased the grandmother since she expected a marriage proposal for her granddaughter. Not having judged a little too quickly, Rafael waited to be quiet in their new home to propose to his beautiful marriage. The latter being a little too waiting, it is Jane who wanted to take the lead by offering to be his wife. This was without counting on the announcement of a news that will upset Jane's sentimental future. Indeed, on her way home, Jane finds Rafael devastated by telling him that he lied to her. But what a lie? And there, chooooooooooc total! Michael, supposedly dead since season 3, is alive and well, there, in front of our screens (OMG as the narrator would say). And that's all. Yes, the episode ends abruptly like this. Too much suspense!

A fifth season on the way!

Thanks to the final season of the fourth season, the writers gave us a hard time. What will become of the love triangle (Jane, Rafael, Michael)? Is it a twin brother of Michael? Is this yet another charade by Rose (who is in prison) to trap Rafael and his sister Luisa? Will Xiomara cure her breast cancer? Will Petra go to jail?

As you can see, we have too many questions and points to clarify and we are waiting for even more answers!

However, there has been a wonderful development of Xio's character during her illness, and we really hope that she will recover from her breast cancer. The series has shown that cancer is not necessarily what we are shown most of the time. Here the series Jane The Virgin shows us that there can be relapses during cancer, that these relapses are necessarily accompanied by a pronounced weakening, a breast removal (in the case of Xiomara), chemotherapy painful physically and psychologically. The series wanted to accentuate the fact that cancer is a painful and long disease for the relatives obviously of the patient, but even more for this one.

Go hitchhiking, we put away the tissues, and we go to Petra! She also had a nice evolution of her character since she discovers herself bisexual. Here again, we have a beautiful message from the series about tolerance towards each other. Congratulations to the writers who wrote beautiful scripts during this season.

For us it is a successful season 4 and the producers of Jane The Virgin proves to us how much the series has managed to renew itself and capture our attention! Hat!Jane the virgin
