After a refusal by NBC, the series L.A.'s Finest, a spin-off of the Bad Boys saga, was finally commissioned by Charter Communications.

The police series worn by Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba will finally be broadcast in 2019 in the United States by Charter Communications, via its Spectrum platform. It will be the group's first original series and 13 episodes are planned for the first season.

The series will follow the character of Sydney 'Syd' Burnett (Gabrielle Union) – the younger sister of Marcus Burnett, played by Martin Lawrence in the original saga – already present in Bad Boys II as a DEA agent in Miami; she fled her tumultuous past and returns here as a cop with the Los Angeles Police Department. She will team up with Nancy McKenna (Jessica Alba), a mother with an equally complicated past.

In addition to embodying this shock duo on screen, the two actresses are also executive producers of the series. The first broadcast date has not yet been announced but the confirmation of the broadcast is already very good news for the series, which had finally not been retained by NBC for the 2018/2019 season.

As for the film sequel to the Bad Boys saga (possibly titled Bad Boys For Life), the project is still in the pipeline despite many changes of directors and producers. The film does not yet have an official release date, but everything suggests that the duo Will Smith / Martin Lawrence will be back.

L.A.'s Finest will make us wait until the release of this new opus!

The confirmation of the broadcast of the series was announced by Gabrielle Union on her Instagram account:
