To promote her fourth studio album entitled Sweetener , which is scheduled for release on August 17, Ariana Grande unveils her second single God is a woman.

Feminist anthem

After the huge success of No tears left to cry and the promotional single The light is coming produced by Pharell, Ariana Grande presents God is a woman, a purely feminist anthem with huge sexual touches: "You, you love it how I move you, you love it how I touch you, my one, when all is said and done, you'll believe God is a woman".

Not only is Ariana Grande proud to be a woman, but she is even more so after the limitless nights she spends with her lover. Here is the slightly less sexual and explicit version of Side to Side, in collaboration with Nicki Minaj.

Sensuality

God is a woman is a song where sensuality dominates. The production and rhythm is similar to that of Let Me Love You with rapper Lil Wayne, from the album Dangerous Woman

Produced by pop geniuses Savan Kotecha (The Weeknd) and Max Martin (Taylor Swift, Britney Spears), God is a woman is less danceable than most of the singer's repertoire, including Problem, Break Free and Into You. It's not an instant hit, certainly. However, after each listen, the song stays in the lead brilliantly and we can not help but sing the intimate lyrics of the chorus.

Ariana Grande is back, and this time with a sound evolution far from the pop/dance characteristic of her repertoire. The song The light is coming was also a sound departure for the singer with real hip-hop touches.

Sweetener is slowly presenting itself as the singer's most versatile album, and we can't wait to discover it in its entirety.
