" I've never liked the boundaries between styles. Record stores invented these boxes, but music is beyond that. The important thing is that it speaks to the heart, to the soul, that it provokes emotions, that it makes travel, that it inspires. For Anne Paceo, there is no question of locking herself in a box that is too restrictive. Pop, folk, jazz, electro: everything is music and her creativity shows that Anne Paceo is above all a great musician with extraordinary inventiveness since at 34 years old, she is already releasing her sixth album and can boast a vast media recognition.

Here is the clip of Bright Shadows to listen to:

The one we saw accompany Jeanne Added and so many other artists, chooses to orient her music towards singing and electric pulsations. With Bright Shadows, she makes us discover this time, alongside her usual companions, two sensitive and unclassifiable voices: the young Ann-Shirley N'Gouassa (seen in The Voice) and Florent Mateo (seen alongside Yael Naim or within the group 3SomeSisters). The result is very enticing judging by the first extract that gives chills with this vocal feeling and muffled ambient sound. It must be said that Anne Pacéo's references come from everywhere and elsewhere: from James Blake to Fauré's Requiem, from the grooves of West Africa to the multiple layers of synthesizers of Boards of Canada, from John Coltrane's "inner fire" to Steve Reich's polyrhythms, not to mention "the historical strength of Alan Lomax's recordings in American prisons in the 30s ".
