More than a year after their last visit to Paris, The Sherlocks were back in the capital for an unforgettable concert at the Olympic Café!
The Sherlocks is a British band from Sheffield that we have been following for a while and that we fell in love with the release of their first opus Live For The Moment. After two concerts at the Mécanique Ondulatoire, the quartet composed only of brothers decided to take over, this time, the Olympic Café on September 27 to impress us once again.
Deputies, a first part not unknown
We had already met Deputies, also as the first part, during the Marsicans concert in Paris almost two years ago. A nice band that entertained the audience but whose set lasted almost too long and we made us very impatient.
The Sherlocks: a concert orchestrated to perfection
It's getting late, almost 10 pm, and the band arrives on stage a little shy to start their set with Last Night, and then follow very quickly with Escapade and Blue during which we could observe a complicity between the Davidson brothers who had fun jumping together simultaneously. It was at the end of this song that singer Kiaran Crook finally took the floor to greet his audience and thank them.
The Sherlocks created a surprise at the Olympic Café by continuing their concert with an unreleased track Now + Then, a track quickly followed by Will You Be There and another unreleased NYC track. Kiaran then asks if we are well and if we had discovered them when they came to Paris as the first part of Liam Gallagher: this was the case for many people. The concert continued with Was It Really Worth It? which followed thanks to a perfect transition with Nobody Knows during which we were able to observe the bassist and drummer Bran Crook give everything on stage.
After thanking us, the singer says that the next song is a new song called Magic Man that he dedicates to a person in the audience. Once applauded, the band followed up with Heart of Gold and Live for the Moment. Then came the fateful moment of the announcement of the last title of the evening accompanied by the promise of The Sherlocks to return to Paris. The concert ended with Chasing Shadows which was another song unveiled live.
Once again, the musicians of The Sherlocks have proved to us that despite their young age and their career that is only at its beginning, they already have everything of the greatest with a perfect mastery of their songs on stage, which are played each time to perfection. A flawless for this British group that over time becomes more and more communicative with its audience, which only grows with each of their dates.
