The British band Pale Waves was back in Paris for a concert at Badaboum on October 10th where he presented his recent album My Mind Makes Noises.

The band from Manchester had already come to Paris last spring during a concert at the Pop-Up of the Label and since Pale Waves has even released its first album My Mind Makes Noises. So, when the quartet announced that they were back on October 10 as part of their European tour at Badaboum in Paris, we didn't hesitate for a second to go see them again!

The Darwin Experience: a nice first part

The Darwin Experience was the opening act for Pale Waves and was an enjoyable discovery for us tonight. They were able to conquer us thanks to their joyful indie-pop but also to soften us by thanking us for being there and encouraging us to follow them!

Pale Waves: a short but effective concert

We were looking forward to Pale Waves coming on stage. And we were apparently not the only ones: as soon as the lights go out, the excitement is felt to give way to an introduction and plays of lights worthy of the greatest. Without a word for its audience, the quartet begins its set with Television Romance: singer Heather Baron-Gracie then thanks her audience.

Pale Waves continues his concert with Eighteen and New Year's Eve before informing us that he is having a pleasant time here. Then comes Red's turn, the front rows start dancing.

When the singer says that the next title is Heavenly, the reactions are not long in coming: multiple screams accompanied by many cheers as for Black afterwards. No doubt, the band already has many loyal fans.

In a humorous tone, Heather Baron-Gracie says that the next title is joyful and that the emos also play joyful titles: it is actually She, then Come In Close and The Tide where we can see a real complicity between drummer Ciara Doran and the singer, testimony of their great friendship.

After thanking her fans who applauded her warmly, the British perform One More Time and Noises where we can see a singer of the most charismatic who throughout the concert will make multiple mimicry, now making her trademark.

Heather Baron-Gracie then says that we're going to move on to the emotional sequence because that's what they do best, it's My Obsession. The last title of the evening arrived: There's A Honey, before the departure of the band.

During this evening, Pale Waves proved to us that his first album was as good in studio version as live. However, we can blame the band for its many blanks between each song due to ineffective transitions. Nevertheless, he was able to make us spend a very good evening and we will not miss him during his next visit. Soon, we hope.
