It is not impossible to meet them at the corner of the Court of Rome in Saint Lazarus, or on the Esplanade de la Défense. Each time, the same scenario is repeated. Three men behind the stove in a truck and a long queue of curious people eager to eat. Welcome to NEW SOUL FOOD! The Afro-Caribbean Food Truck.

A culinary melting pot in the heart of a cosmopolitan city!

NEW SOUL FOOD 3 opt NEW SOUL FOOD: The Afropean Food Truck of Paris!

Founded in 2016, New Soul Food is the fulfillment of a shared dream. That of three brothers: Rudy, Joël and Paul from an Afro-Caribbean mix, a Guadeloupean father and a Cameroonian mother. It is simply around Afro cuisine that they wanted to pay tribute to their double culture.

The dishes of their childhood, revisited in several variations such as braised chicken, a cooking technique popular throughout Africa. New Soul Food offers three variations to choose from this famous braised chicken: herbs from Provence (Africa), Colombo, Turmeric and Ginger (West Indies) and spices such as Penja pepper… or the Pebe… (Sub-Saharan Africa).

The accompaniments are as exotic as they are appetizing. If you like sweet savory dishes you will appreciate chicken with plantain or sweet potato as an accompaniment.

Don't get me wrong with the fast food aspect of this Food Truck. Indeed, each menu is imagined by Rudy the youngest of the brothers before being elaborated. For the record, Rudy Lainé is a pastry chef, who has forged a great experience in the high places of French gastronomy. He is also leading the innovation of a famous ice cream and its "Haagen-Dazs Village" collection. A long way to go!

The dream realized, the objective is to discover a mixed cuisine, and to be the leader on the market. A bet that looks good. New Soul Food was voted the best Food Truck in Paris in 2017.

Today New Soul Food, in addition to being a mobile restaurant, offers privatization for any type of event, to awaken your taste buds. It's up to you to let yourself be tempted.
