After several years of silence marked by an autobiography, an album of covers released in early 2018 ( Love & Soul ), Corneille returns to what he knows best: songs.
Or rather melodies, immediately engaging, because carried by a velvet voice. Embellished with texts, in which he tells himself and tells us.
His eighth album Because we love handles all these arcana with skill. And if the record was well prepared at home, in an intimate way, it turns out to be a treasure trove of arrangements. A careful production that highlights a warm and immediately recognizable voice, that of a vulnerable man but drawing on his inner strength and who has a will to move forward.
Moreover, when Corneille evokes the birth of the title Tout le monde, he says he is " surprised by his own hypocrisy".
