The Aces was in concert on November 12th in Paris at La Boule Noire to present their first album When My Heart Felt Volcanic.
The Aces is an American female quartet that we have been following for some time. They knew how to touch us with their first album When My Heart Felt Volcanic. A concentrate of rhythmic songs that take you from the first note of the guitar, with the powerful voice of Cristal Ramirez and their lyrics that can more or less touch you.
So when Katie Henderson (guitarist), McKenna Petty (bassist), Alisa Ramirez (drummer) and Cristal Ramirez (singer, guitarist) announced a European tour that stopped in Paris on November 12 at La Boule Noire, we did not hesitate a single second to go there!
The Aces and their successful concert at the Boule Noire!
The audience was eagerly awaiting The Aces on the stage of the Boule Noire. When the lights finally go out to make way for an intro, fans are heard shouting. The girls then take turns on stage and quickly start the concert with Put It On The Line !
The tone of the concert is set by The Aces : that night we were here to have fun, dance and sing in chorus with them ! At the end of the song, the singer Cristal Ramirez asked how we felt while being accompanied by many applause.
The Americans continued their set with Stay where we could testify to a group close to its audience and a pit that danced relentlessly! When drummer Alisa Ramirez encouraged those in the room to applaud in rhythm, they were not asked and did it very quickly.
After the singer asked if we were in good shape, The Aces then performed Bad Love where we saw an audience once again in communion with the band. At the end of this title, Cristal Ramirez said that Paris was great tonight and thanked us all for being here tonight! She then presented the next title: Lovin Is Bible !
After being acclaimed, The Aces continued the tracks Holiday and Strong Enough ! Bassist McKenna Petty then took the floor and asked how we were doing before adding that it was the second time they had come to Paris; but above all that we were everything they could have imagined. Then she announced the next song: Baby Who.
After being once again acclaimed, the Americans then performed their emblematic Just Like That where Cristal Ramirez handed the microphone many times to her audience who sang the chorus with passion !
Drummer Alisa Ramirez then took the floor asking if we were ready to sing the next song with them because it was Last One ! The people present in the room then began to sing and see the chorus shouting as if it were a hymn !
The Aces were so amazed at the enthusiasm of their audience tonight in the room, that they let out a "Paris! What The Fuck! ", then they thanked us again and then told us about their first album which introduced the next song: Volcanic Love.
The Aces then followed the songs Physical and Fake Nice where we could observe once again a Black Ball who cheered the group relentlessly but who also never stopped having fun, singing in chorus the chorus and clapping hands in rhythm.
Guitarist Katie Henderson then took the floor to thank us for being here tonight and choosing to spend the night with them. Then the Americans performed Waiting For You and then left the stage quickly greeting her audience.
Still, the few fans present in the Black Ball did not want the concert to stop and be heard through an encore. The singer and guitarist then returned to the stage confiding that it was their favorite concert so far during their European tour. The two artists then performed Hurricane, a song that highlights more than ever the voice of Cristal Ramirez. The chills were guaranteed.
For the next and last track, The Aces was on stage and thanked us one last time while confiding that they would come back very soon. The Americans closed the concert with Stuck.
On the evening of November 12th, The Aces proved to us that in addition to having a successful first album, the band was able to interpret it perfectly live and make it even more lively and addictive! We look forward to their return to the capital!
