A unique festival: the first international contemporary circus festival on a regional scale. For five weeks, municipalities and cultural venues (dedicated facilities or unusual places) agree to carry the colors of today's circus loud and clear.
SPRING is a festival of new circus forms in Normandy. Coordinated by the Platform 2 PĂŽle Cirque en Normandie / La BrĂšche in Cherbourg â Cirque-ThĂ©Ăątre d'Elbeuf, with 60 partners throughout Normandy. This SPRING festival is co-produced by the MĂ©tropole Rouen Normandie on its territory.
This year the SPRING 2020 line of strength will be Old World, New Worlds.
What is Spring?
It is an open festival: the programming gives pride of place to all the encounters of the circus with other artistic disciplines (dance, theater, music, plastic arts …)
But also a curious festival… SPRING is interested in young talents, the first steps of the new circus generation, the new creations of established artists (12 creations SPRING 2020)
Finally, it is a faithful and attentive festival: each edition of SPRING is an opportunity to highlight artistic journeys by presenting several shows by the same artist or company ("Artist Journey") and to highlight a trend, a current, one or more theme(s).
To each his own SPRING! The festival is designed to allow everyone to compose their program. By taking advantage of the programming offered on the same territory or by letting yourself be tempted by a walk in Normandy. In addition, the "Family Fun Days" weekends give pride of place to the practice of circus as an amateur; They are also an opportunity for family immersion.
From March 5 to April 5, 2020, everyone has their own SPRING everywhere in Normandy!
