Hot in front! This week, we're taking you to a place where the bartender has already received awards. Located at 6 rue Vivienne, in the heart of Paris, a few steps from the Japanese Quarter, you will come face to face with a chic storefront. Large plants, high ceiling, play of lights, games of mirrors… Here is the Daroco, an Italian restaurant that is all the rage. Do not be impressed and return without fear, surprises await you.

The Daroco

The pizzas are particularly soft and crispy. Everything is studied so that you have the most pleasant culinary experience possible. It should be noted, for example, that they do not bring spicy oil (so as not to distort the taste of the filling) but a pepper mill with subtle notes.

We fell for the "Napoli": without cheese, certainly, but very powerful in the mouth, with its anchovies and its admirable tomato sauce with the taste of the Mediterranean, adorned with fresh basil. The more classic pizzas are also to bite your fingers. The margharita, for example, is guilty of pleasure, with its creamy mozarella and fine herbs.

Prices (rather reasonable for a house of this quality) oscillate between 12 and 20 euros.

After eating, other discoveries are to be made. Go beyond the first counter, a little wonder awaits you: the Danico. Subdued bar, sophisticated décor and original mixes, "from here but especially from elsewhere".

Small precision: the creator of these mixtures is a travel enthusiast, who drew his inspiration from cultures around the world. Its food choices are original and you won't drip the same thing in another establishment. Put a foot in this dimension with Mexican, Brazilian, American, Nordic flavors, as well as mixtures from Tokyo, all more worked than the others.

Some honorable mentions of nerve: the Sionara Motherfucker or The alligator is green, a mixture of absinthe and egg, which left us stunned to read and taste. But for now, we are looking to drink something new.

After having tortured our minds to decide among all the choices, we set our sights on the Godzilla . Japan when you hold us..! The blend is powerful: Japanese whisky, coconut cream and matcha.

It is served to you as a Japanese brevage, in a small ceramic container. It's all in the theme, even the container! The result is stunning, it is drunk like whey and the whisky is unsuspected. We will not fail to salute the quality of the food and the kindness of the bartenders.

Finally, let's not forget our visit to the toilet, where you can enjoy the music of the great years of the Cinecittà while washing your hands. (Yes, the smallest details matter, don't they?)

It is on these beautiful nostalgic notes of the Dolce Vita that we leave you, and that we tell you next week! Arrivederci!
