New feature films have been added to the list of releases postponed due to the coronavirus. Among them, highly anticipated films by Sony Pictures, such as S.O.Ghostbusters: The Legacy and Morbius. Indeed, while it was scheduled in our French theaters on August 19, the brand new part of the S.O.Ghostbusters, worn by Finn Wolfhard (Mike in the Netflix series Stranger Things) and Paul Rudd, is postponed to March 5 of next year in the United States. On the other hand, it does not yet have a specific date in France. Same scenario for Morbius, the spin-off of Spider-Man starring Jared Leto. Announced here for August 5, the science fiction drama will finally be released on March 19, 2021 across the Atlantic. These are two major postponements while Bloodshot, also distributed by Sony, was released directly on video on demand last week. And as if that were not enough, Sony Pictures is also postponing the release date of its historical drama USS Greyhound: The Battle of the Atlantic, a film about the Second World War by Aaron Schneider and carried by Tom Hanks (himself affected by the Covid-19 virus). Scheduled for June 24 in France, the feature film does not yet have a set date. It can be noted that strangely, Kevin Hart's film Fatherhood, announced for February 10, 2021, will be released several months early. Indeed, it will be able to be found as early as October 23 of this year. Is this a consolation prize from Sony Pictures ..? Still, for its part, the adaptation of the video game Uncharted with Tom Holland is postponed from March 5 to October 8, 2021. Filming was postponed for six months due to the virus. Finally, Pierre Lapin 2, which had already been shifted from April 8 to October 14, will finally be released on January 15, 2021.
