The least we can say is that John Boyega does not have his tongue in his pocket! This time, the actor defends the final part of the Star Wars saga in which he plays the role of Finn. John Boyega is used to saying what he thinks of the films in which he plays, even if it sometimes takes risks. Indeed, in an interview for Hypebeast published at the end of 2019, the 28-year-old actor revealed that The Last Jedi, the very controversial episode 8 of the Star Wars saga directed by Rian Johnson, was clearly not to his taste:

"I didn't agree with many of the script choices and I talked about it at length with Mark Hamill. It was difficult for all of us because we were divided."

John Boyega defends the last episode of the saga

But, against all odds, John Boyega defended the last part of the saga, The Rise of Skywalker. It is recalled that this film was particularly descended in the press and by the fans. Especially because of its many scripted inconsistencies (the return of Palpatine, among others) and the weakness of its characters. Like a valiant Stormtrooper, Boyega did not hesitate to defend the feature film directed by J. J. Abrams on Twitter, in response to a user who called the film "embarrassing":

"Embarrassing? LOL, you'd like it to be.It's a very satisfying film, with some disappointments, but at the end of the day it's not a big deal. We've all moved on… "

Star Wars 9: John Boyega defends J. J. Abrams Could this be a crisis of ego on the part of the young actor? One is in a position to ask oneself in the light of this admission. Especially since the screenwriter Chris Terrio himself admits to having never rewritten a script so much in his life. Let's just remember that we are talking about one of the writers of Zack Snyder's cursed Justice League, rightly known for having been rewritten many times! However, John Boyega is not the only one to defend the last part of the star-studded saga. Like him, Daisy Ridley stepped up to the plate. Indeed, a few weeks ago, the actress explained in a podcast of Entertainment Weekly that the unpopularity of the film had something to do with articles relayed on social networks:

"It was impossible to go on social media in January without coming across an article related to Star Wars. I'd read some of the titles and think, 'Oh my God, it's so heartbreaking.' ".

Thus, if for some, the last part of the Star Wars saga is one of the biggest turnips in the history of cinema, it is not the case of John Boyega who intends to defend it. Take it for granted!
