After series like The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Batwoman and many others, Superman and Lois will soon appear in the well-populated landscape of superhero series. Created by former Flash showrunner Todd Helbing, the Supergirl spin-off puts Lois (Bitsie Tulloch) and Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) front and center as they juggle parenthood and two demanding jobs. Although no pilot was filmed, the CW has already ordered 13 episodes for the spin-off of Supergirl that promises many surprises. Filming will begin as soon as the health risks are eliminated. To do this, a shock team is at the helm! In addition to creating and writing the series, Helbing will serve as executive producer alongside writer Greg Berlanti. Super producer Sarah Schechter and former DC Entertainment COO Geoff Johns will also be there. As promised, the series will follow the famous superhero and the renowned journalist as they deal with the stress and complications that come with being working parents. And incidentally the difficulties of managing this while being a superhero. According to Tolluch, we're going to see the couple in a different light:
"When Todd Helbing, who is our showrunner, was telling me about the story of the pilot script for Superman & Lois, I got chills."Â Tolluch told TV Guide. "It's so good and it's so something we've never seen before with them, that I think it's going to be great."Â
At the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths, it is discovered that the couple has two sons. For the rest of the cast, the series recently found its Lana Lang (previously played by Kristen Krevk in Smallville) in the person of Emmanuelle Chriqui. Her character in the new series is that of a head of the credit department of the Smalville bank, who contacts Clark again after he is fired by the editorial staff of the Daily Planet. We hope that the actress will live up to this iconic role.  Dylan Walsh was cast as Lois' father, General Lane. The star of Nip/Tuck and Blue Bloods will play the army general without frills. His main concern will be to protect his country and the world from threats, both on the planet and beyond. He is described as a true workaholic who wishes the best for his daughters Lois and Lucy, who have already been seen in Supergirl. Those who have seen the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover know that it has been rich in twists and revelations. At Just Focus, we can't wait to know what he's up to for this new series!
