According to Screenrant, the adventures of sisters Elsa and Anna in Frozen 3 would benefit from being combined with another Hans Christian Andersen tale. What would it look like in a film if this assumption turned out to be true?
Frozen : a worldwide success
The animated film about the kingdom of Arendelle headed by Elsa, the famous Snow Queen, was a box office hit in 2013. A revenue equal to 1.072 billion dollars and more than 5 million spectators in France. We can say with these figures that this film was a worldwide success. On November 20, 2019, the sisters made their comeback in the second installment of Frozen 2 . Like the first, it was a monumental achievement. Little doubt about the possible continuation of the saga, with a third opus. First of all, you should know that this feature film is based on the book The Snow Queen, by the famous Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen. This isn't the first time Disney has used traditional tales to tell its stories. Especially for the film The Little Mermaid which was already taken from the book of the same name by this author. However, the original tales are often much darker than the movies. Disney is inspired by them, but makes sure to embellish them. And why not use this same method by combining two books for the third installment of Frozen?
Elsa and Elisa in the next movie?
Screenrant does not hesitate to propose on its site, a plot that could be interesting for Frozen 3. What if the story of The Wild Swans was mixed with the adventures of Elsa and Anna? This book tells us the adventures of the protagonist Elisa. Well, well, a name very similar to the heroine Elsa from Frozen, could it be a mere coincidence? This young Elisa lives with her father and 11 brothers. All is well in the best of all worlds… Until the day his father meets a woman who will become his stepmother. She is about a witch who will turn her eleven brothers into swans. A fairy appears and gives him the only solution to save his brothers. Elisa has to make nettle shirts for each of them, without telling anyone. A story linking brotherly love, disaster and sacrifice. Themes that we also find in Frozen. What if Anna and Elsa helped Elisa save her brothers? A story that would be quite plausible and that would offer a beautiful continuity to this adaptation of traditional tale. This combination for Frozen 3 could pay off and offer us a story as breathless as for the two previous parts.
