Officials in Riverside County, California, announced Wednesday that their choice was due to fears of a new wave of Covid-19.
"I am concerned about indications that Covid-19 could worsen in the fall," said Riverside County Public Health Officer Cameron Kaiser, who signed the order Wednesday to cancel these two very popular festivals, reports the American magazine People.
Coachella and Stagecoach: health first!
The holding of Coachella and Stagecoach is "stage 4" according to the governor of the state of California, Gavin Newsom. The two festivals concentrate thousands of participants over two weekends.
