The actors of Friends were to meet around a special meeting for the launch of the streaming platform HBO Max on May 27. Unfortunately, with Covid-19, all filming stopped for several months. Friends, the multigenerational series
Friends is a sitcom that spans 10 seasons and includes more than 236 episodes. Released on September 22, 1994 and completed on May 6, 2004, its cast consists of Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay) and David Schwimmer (Ross Geller). The series has been a real success in the United States and around the world since season 1. Marta Kaufmann, co-creator with David Crane, recently explained to The Wrap that this success was unexpected. The series was targeted for people in their twenties, many thought that only this age range would be watching. However, as she puts it so well, "if the stories are universal, more people will watch." A successful bet since the series has become timeless. The subjects are always topical, which is what allows it to last over time.

Also in an interview with The Wrap, Marta Kauffman spoke about the special meeting, delayed because of the pandemic:
"We hope to be able to shoot in August, if all goes well and there is no early second wave and the studio is open"
The 6 members of the original cast of Friends will be present as well as the creators of the series. Filming should also be done on the original set of the series, at Stage 24 of the Warner Bros. studio. in Burbank.
"If everything is in place, we understand all the protocols and we can still put on a good show, we'll shoot it sometime from mid-end to late August."
