David Guillod, the producer of the Netflix film Tyler Rake, is currently awash in eleven counts. Among them, we find rape and kidnapping. Tyler Rake (Extract from its original title), this is the Netflix action movie that should not be missed during confinement. A film that featured a Chris Hemsworth (Thor) at the top of his form. At the production, we could find David Guillod, already behind the action film Atomic Blonde. However, Tyler Rake 2 will likely require a new producer. Indeed, David Guillod was arrested on Monday in Santa Barbara, to answer the eleven charges against him. Very serious charges, which include:
- Several sexual assaults.
- One or more rapes (with potential drug use).
- Abduction.
Guillod already accused before
With this record, David Guillod now faces up to 21 years in prison. But it should be noted that this is not the first time the producer has been accused of sexual assault. Indeed, in the continuity of the #MeToo movement, the actress Jessica Barth had accused the producer of rape, after being drugged by him. A testimony encouraged after the actress was contacted by another woman who had lived a similar story. Philip Cohen, Guillod's lawyer, said this in his client's defense:
"Mr. Guillod was slandered for 8 years, without having the opportunity to answer under oath to his accusers. Justice is rarely quick and doesn't come easily, but he can't wait to clear his name in a proper place."
The waltz of accusations does not seem to be over in Hollywood. Since the Weinstein affair, followed by the #MeToo movement, many personalities have found themselves under fire of accusations concerning more or less old facts. Accusations that testify to a deep desire to get rid of the predators that punctuate the world of show business. All we have to do is wait for the trial of David Guillod, which will determine the veracity of all these accusations. In the meantime, (re)discover our review of Tyler Rake.
