Dune is probably one of the most anticipated films of the year. The American composer will have made us languish a little more, during an interview for Variety magazine, during which he said a little more about his work:
"Right now, I'm making these sounds. I have ideas, which come to me, it's like that every day. I do all these experiments and I have no idea if either of them will end up in the film or not. But we are all so dedicated to the idea of doing something different, solid and honorable work, and most importantly to do justice to the book… Some will probably be absolute disasters, but I try anyway. […] On Dune, I make everyone hammer because I really have a lot of ideas. And then, it's Denis you know. He allows me to be part of this world apart… "
As music is an essential element in the success of a film and its appreciation by the spectator, we can only be delighted with its presence within the team.
The duo Hans Zimmer – Chris Nolan separates
The Oscar-winning composer will have also made an infidelity to Christopher Nolan by choosing to work on the new adaptation of Frank Herbert's books. Just that! And when we know the common journey of these two immense artists, from the Batman trilogy, through Inception, then Interstellar and Dunkirk. "I had to do Dune. Chris [Nolan] understands my approach, everything will be fine for his film."
