This year, the famous American festival will not see the light of day in person. No more booing spectators, sunburns and "instagramable" hippie looks. Unlike Lollapalooza Paris which was postponed to July 2021, the one in Chicago will be scheduled live and available for free. Welcoming a large number of artists.
Cancellation of Lollapalooza Chicago 2020
The event, which welcomes nearly 100,000 spectators per year, has decided to cancel its programming for the year 2020 for reasons of health protection. "The health and safety of our fans, artists, partners, staff and community is always our top priority," the organizers posted on social media. This news disappointed the many fans of the festival. To remedy this, they have set up a virtual programming that will be held from Thursday at 00:00 until August 2 live on the video streaming platform Youtube. We can imagine the international scope that this event will have by being available to all!
Headliners
It is this Monday on her Twitter account that Lolla unveiled the artists who will be present. We will be entitled in particular to the participation of Asap Rocky, H.E.R, Imagine Dragons, Lorde, the legendary band Metallica and Tove Lo. A good cocktail of recognized and talented artists! Moreover, in addition to the presence of renowned artists, we note that of former first lady Michelle Obama. As well as that of the Chicago Bulls player: Zachary Lavine. The schedule will be broadcast the day before the event on their website.

A solidarity festival
By the way, if you want to do a good deed at the event, you can send donations via PayPal between July 27 and August 2. They will fund non-profit organizations such as the Art of Illinois Relief Fund, the Equal Justice Initiative or When We All Vote. For each donation, Lollapalooza will add 10 euros. You can also buy the festival's new merch; the funds raised will go to charity.
