Lollapalooza Paris was this weekend on the Longchamp racecourse; Back in two parts on a festival where it was hot, beautiful and where we discovered a lot of artists. This weekend, the Longchamp racecourse welcomes thousands of festival-goers to its slopes, who come to take pictures under the small Eiffel Tower installed for the occasion or listen to different artists. We were able to discover rap, rock, electro, Latin music but also punk and pop. As much to say it right away, the beautiful world, the very beautiful world at this festival and even the sun invited itself to the party where it took up a lot of space. After the Rolland Garros complex we are welcomed on this Saturday on the most famous racecourse in France. On site, dozens of food stalls are fighting to catch our eye: Indian, Caribbean, Mexican, Asian and so on, there is something for everyone, but we are here for the music, so head to the first scene of this weekend. We discover Faouzia coming straight from the country to the maple leaf with her pop and it will be our first crush. In a universe: mix of very American pop sounds while drawing on his Moroccan origins on sounds like RIP, Love. Everything stays in mind and we continue to listen to it after the concert. We particularly recommend Hero. Then comes Yendry straight from the Dominican Republic. The young woman offers us a game on sounds, leaning a little on rap in Spanish on some choruses. We discover on stage an artist who gives her all, sometimes with humor, sometimes with a touch of provocation. With deeper texts than it seems at first glance. A universe just waiting to be exploited, discovery all the more interesting that she played us Masquerade her feat with Lou and the yakuza, a very good discovery for us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_mWE_xahxY Here we are again looking for a stage and it's the electro that calls us because the stage is covered and we appreciate the shadow but also to discover the Argentinian BIzarrap. The man with twenty-one million streams on Spotify offers us his universe where rap and electro come together. BZRP of his nickname sets fire and remains the most listened to Argentine in the world. The dj offers us a great moment and seen the world rushing to discover it, we are not mistaken, we are facing a big name of the electro scene with a very marked urban universe. https://youtu.be/A_g3lMcWVy0 But it's already time to go and discover a new artist elsewhere and it's P.R2B and its audience that seems to be hot that attract us. Melancholic pop, texts worked with this captivating atmosphere so particular impresses us. We are transported as much to say, we found an artist who has a little je ne sais quoi surely due to her mix of personal universes. An artist that we want to rediscover with an album and that's good, an ep is available. A concert would also be welcome. My best life commands respect from the crowd who listen attentively. Our preference goes to Melancholy anyway. Can't wait to see more. https://youtu.be/0dLe79rxIQ8 Straight from Uncle Sam's country comes on stage Sullivan King. The dj makes with talent a mixture of electronics and metal. Do we like it? Yes! He loves both worlds and it shows. We love this mix that reminds us of a lot of elements from Dragonforce to Skrillex for the best known. Sullivan is totally in a metal attitude on stage and we love his crazy side. Thus, we advise you, just to make you a small session discovery of two styles. Of all the DJs listened to, we can say that he is our favorite little discovery. But the desire to listen to rap is felt and for that, there is the radar scene. Thus, Arma Jackson is there to offer us a mix of House and RnB. Arma makes soft music that can be listened to in groups and just makes us want to dance. We will remember his version on stage of Flash one of his flagship songs that we love. After a well-deserved break, always this heat, we go back to the DJ scene and it is Apashe that interests us. The Canadian superstar in the making of the discipline arrives with his universe where a deified image and an almost sacred side that sticks to his skin mix. We wanted to discover him on stage and we were not disappointed. Maybe less crazy than the others with his more classical universe in his compositions but it still turns the head and that's what we wanted. Then comes the big moment, the evening begins with Vald's concert which brings together enough people to make it difficult to see him on stage. Starting with songs from his new album V, we are not going to lie the atmosphere does not touch the public who is there to listen to his hits from NQNT, Aghartha and other albums. We quickly find with the great Vald on stage who gives himself entirely to his audience. Hello, Vitrine, Désaccord or Anunnaki will be taken up by the crowd. Then comes the best time… The end. Indeed, while Vald sings his last song the audience heads to the stage next door, that of Imagine Dragons. Except that Vald decides to do "Vald". Seeing the world leave and knowing that the American band, Bilal Hassani and Jossman play a little further, the latter quietly addresses the audience "hey I see everyone leaving, come we piss them off a little" I only quote. The latter relaunches Désacordé, the public returns and we must admit to having loved this little thumb of the nose to the American group. https://youtu.be/kutk2XHEZNU So the biggest show of the evening arrives. Great American show for an hour and a half, interrupted by films broadcast on the big screen and the singer who tells us about his misfortunes. After playing their biggest hits and also Amsterdam one of their best songs from the first album, we discover one of the greatest rock bands of the last ten years with their best hits for an absolutely great concert. We will admit that because of the world we could see the singer only from afar but it did not take anything away from our pleasure. https://youtu.be/PscXGpsF3dY To end this day I propose you a small anthology of other artists. David Guetta was there and offered us a show worthy of him with his greatest hits, we were also entitled to Vladimir Cauchemar and his compositions that take the head with pleasure, we abandon ourselves on his mixes, especially Aulos Reloaded for example. We could also see Joé Dwèt Filé and his dancers. The composer of Haitian origin presented us his RnB pop universe of lover and this atmosphere is good especially with these temperatures. But if we have to finish this first day well, it's with the band The Struts. Four boys who make the stage their playground. The reputation of the group is well established since they were the first part of the Rolling Stones. The Struts is English rock as we like it. Trash while remaining glam, independent, punk its singer recalls the one and only Freddy Mercury by his gestures, his staging, his body game. The Struts is a band from the 90s born in 2012, it is surely the biggest discovery and the biggest favorite of this festival for us. If you have bled The Vaccines Temples you will be won over by this group which is a tribute to the best that Her Majesty's country has done in music for 30 years. That's how you leave the festival. It's still hot, the waiting girl for the bar is getting longer and longer and the wifi is lacking but the music is good and that's the main thing.
