Fallacia is a play written by Clémence Baron, who also wrote the play Accused. The play was directed by Caroline Saule and will be performed again on Saturday evening at the Théo Théâtre from January.

A burglary with an unexpected outcome

When he breaks into the Loubrenet family's living room to commit yet another burglary, Justin is far from imagining what awaits him. In the war between the wife, the husband, the lover, the wife of the lover and the burglar, the latter finds himself taking on all the most thankless roles before finally winning. Adultery, lies and deceptions punctuate Fallacia from beginning to end. The originality of the play lies in the fact that adultery is not the only knot to unravel in the plot punctuated by surprising twists.

Fallacia or the art of lying

"Fallacia" in Latin means "deceit, low deception, cunning, deception, artifice, means to deceive, fraud, fraud". The play invites the audience to reflect on what is or is not right to reveal the truth, and when or how to reveal it if necessary. In this show close to a frenzied Feydeau, the interests of the characters cross and are gradually revealed. The spectator comes to wonder who will now deceive whom, as everyone hides his game well. Neither secondary character, nor left behind, in Fallacia everyone can deceive and be deceived at any moment.

A funny and dynamic staging

The small living room of the Loubrenet family, theater of revelations and shameless lies, is represented simply on stage. This simplicity is more than enough for the story and gives rise to many scenes that can trigger laughter without speech. The actors (Clémence Baron, Colin Doucet, Brieuc Dumont, Alexis Hubert, Caroline Saule) are all talented and each create in their own way a complicity with the public, who attaches themselves and would like to see them all get what they want. Clemence Baron The text of Fallacia is available from Les Cygnes. The play was written in just three days by Clémence Baron during the first lockdown. Accused.e and Fallacia foreshadow a bright theatrical future for this young and talented actress and author.
