Abaji returns on March 12 with his new album entitled Blue Shaman, a musical journey that takes the artist to Scotland. Throughout his career, Abaji travels through the history of his origins in music. Multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bouzouki, flutes, percussion… and many others), singing in French, Arabic, Greek, Turkish and Armenian… it takes the audience through musical worlds, like so many stages between East and West. Abaji was born in Lebanon. His musical passions are Indian music, oriental music and blues. Always in motion and research, his bow guitar playing is a sensation on festival stages. According to Abaji, " It's the role of artists to collect bits of beauty from the world and offer them to people to remind them of their humanity. My music is like a Lebanese, oriental dessert with tea. Everyone can taste this. After the return to the origins of Route & Roots, which marked the rediscovery of Armenian and Lebanese music, Abaji invited Scottish accordionist Donald Shaw and flutist, bagpiper Michael McGoldrick. 
Abaji is fascinated by his way of playing percussion on the strings of his acoustic guitar and by his production of aerial sounds on the electric. Experimentation and discovery have always been the driving force behind its creation. Before starting his career as a recognized musician, Abaji studied and specialized in Chinese medicine and martial arts, including Tai-Chi-Chuan which he has practiced for more than forty years. He composes film music and has been performing all over the world for 25 years, singing in the five languages of his family: French, Arabic, Greek, Turkish and Armenian … An invitation to travel!
