Apple TV is not the platform producing the most series compared to Netflix or Disney but it is not left out in terms of the quality of its productions. And the recent trailers for Silo and the adaptation of the manga "God's Drops" clearly show that the streaming service intends to compete for Emmy Award and other Golden Globe nominations for the year 2024. Rebecca Ferguson is the center of attention in Silo, this science fiction series adapted from the books of Hugh Howey. A dystopian trilogy that plunges us into the dark daily life of the last survivors of the planet. The pitch reveals how the last 10,000 survivors on earth move several meters underground. They cannot go outside due to a toxic and deadly atmosphere. No one knows how the silo they live in was built. Rebecca Ferguson is an engineer who runs in search of answers… A quest strewn with pitfalls. As with its series Invasion or Foundation, two other science fiction projects, Apple TV has done things big with realistic sets, an artistic direction that reminds us of Snowpiercer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neBuQCibFAk The rest of the cast is quality since we find Common, Harriet Walter, David Oyelowo (Selma, the butler), Rashida Jones and Tim Robbins (the escapees)… Graham Yost, one of the directors of the multi-award-winning show Band of brothers, is leading this most enticing project. The first two episodes will be online on May 5, 2023. The broadcast will continue at the rate of one episode per week.

God's Drops: an expected adaptation of a bestseller of manga

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLV4IkiDT1s&t=2s The world of manga has rarely been pampered by the world of the seventh art and television series. Just think of the adaptations of Dragon Ball, Death Note or Attack of the Titans to realize that production studios are struggling to correctly transpose the works of art of the world of Japanese comics. Drops of God is basically a manga published by Glénat. It was created by two artists, Tadashi Agi and Shu Okimoto. 44 volumes are available from the publisher. A dense and rich work with 12 enigmas including a thirteenth of the most mysterious. There's even a sequel called Drops of God – Wedding, which began publication in 2015. A notable change has been made in the manga since we no longer witness a fratricidal struggle between two brothers. Fleur Geffrier plays the daughter of the greatest oenologist on the planet. She faces her father's greatest disciple, Japanese prodigy Tomohisa Yamashita.  What is at stake in their confrontation? The exceptional cellar of Alexandre Léger's father. One of the tastiest games in the world of gastronomy. An environment very different from shonen and other seinen that we are used to seeing on our screens. In the original manga, the two brothers are fiercely opposed. We hope to find the ingredients of the success of the work in this highly anticipated adaptation. The first two episodes of the series will arrive on April 21 on Apple TV. Then you will be able to see one episode per week.
