Notice to fans: there will be no Justice League 2! Zack Snyder's Snyder Cut will not result in a sequel. This film marks the completion of the trilogy.

You will have understood it: the "Snyderverse" will not be restored. Indeed, even if the four hours of Justice League remixed by Snyder are widely praised in recent days, the vision of the director will stop at this crazy project for HBO Max. Warner Bros. does not want to put a part back in that machine. And while fans were already dreaming of a Justice League 2, Warner decided to calm their ardors immediately.

In an interview with Variety, Ann Sarnoff, CEO of WarnerMedia Studios, made the studio's position clear: "We wanted to give Zack the opportunity to complete his vision in a four-hour movie, which is impossible to do in theaters. We're happy to have HBO Max (as a streaming platform) to release this kind of project in extenso, and allow fans to see the four hours of Zack's vision." Thus, despite the success of the Snyder Cut, WarnerMedia does not want to continue the adventure with the director, who planned two sequels to his Justice League. Moreover, these two projects were widely teased in the last chapter of the film. So you'll have to make a reason (or several): no, Darkseid will not return. No, this mystery of the anti-life equation will have no answer. No, the five-film saga that began with Man of Steel will have no end! Speaking to Variety, Sarnoff said: "I appreciate that fans love Zack's work and we are very grateful for his many contributions to DC. We're so happy that he was able to bring his vision to life, with his cut of Justice League, because it wasn't in our plans, until about a year ago… But this film marks the completion of his trilogy. We're very happy to have done that, and now we're very excited about the plans we have for all the multidimensional DC characters that are in development." To console you, the DC universe will offer you its brand new Batman signed Matt Reeves and embodied by Robert Pattinson. You will also have the chance to discover a new Suicide Squad directedby James Gunn (and his HBO Max series on Peacemaker), not to mention a new Superman, currently written by Black Panther comic book writer Ta-Nehisi Coates. Only Ezra Miller and his Flash should last after Justice League, in a solo film expected for many years… So there will be NO Justice League 2. But don't panic!
