The play "Beirut Hotel" by Rémi De Vos, illustrates an unusual encounter between two characters at the antipodes. It is the story of a woman and a man in a Lebanese hotel. Once nicknamed "Paris of the Middle East" Beirut is full of many secrets. Each of these two atypical characters, give us the keys to their universe full of adventures.

An original meeting

La dolce vita will be for another time. The business trip of a French theatre director to Beirut will not be a long quiet river. Indeed, it is hard to believe that this chauvinistic and depressed man has a surprising relationship with a Lebanese woman who has a solar personality. She is dwith black hair, a piercing look and a cheerful voice, this Lebanese woman gives us her daily life. 

Atypical portraits

Indeed, we see her dancing and smiling while the man, a Parisian intellectual for whom his career in the world of theater does not take off, immerses himself in a personal introspection. He cleverly expresses classic or even banal subjects in his Beirut hotel room with "his new travel companion". On the other hand, this play highlights the real culture shock, on the one hand the East in Beirut and on the other the West with a Parisian mentality. Over time, languages loosen. Each draws on their personal story to expose the vision of their reality. But this rather close link can quickly change…
