From the pages of Variety, Amazon Studios announced a new original Italian film, high-end, with pop star Laura Pausini (already winner of a Golden Globe, a Grammy Award and the 4 Latin Grammy Awards). The singer, who recently was the protagonist of the night of the Oscars 2021 with Diane Warren thanks to the nomination of "Io sì (Seen)", song of the film "The Life Ahead – The life ahead – La vie devant soi", will soon land on Amazon Prime Video with an unreleased film directed by Ivan Cotroneo. The project will see Laura Pausini for the first time as an actress in a film that will revolve around her and her career. It isuntitled, but, as already announced, will be released in 240 countries in 2022 and promises to be " an experience with a whole new style of storytelling never seen before " (Leonardo Pasquinelli, CEO of Endemol Shine Italy).

"For some time now, I had been receiving proposals for a film project but I couldn't find anything so special to devote time and energy to ," said the artist. « I was looking for something innovative in the scenarios they offered me but I felt no urgency to tell me. Then, in February 2020, I met Amazon Studios, and during one of our meetups, I realized there was something I had never said, something I cared about and wanted to finally share." "I am happy that they immediately enthusiastically supported my artistic idea. We will try to tell it in the way that I find most sincere, as I have always done with music, this time with all the passion I have for cinema. Shortly before the Golden Globe victory, I started working with one of the Italian writers and directors I respect the most and, from our collaboration, was born this madness that I am about to face with great dedication and that, I am sure, will even amaze! ».
