New song for Laura Pausini. The Italian artist released last night her new single "Scatola", written in collaboration with Madame, presenting it in world premiere in different cities of the world.

It's official: Laura Pausini – already winner of a Golden Globe, a Grammy Award and the 4 Latin Grammy Awards – is back on the international music scene with a new single entitled "Scatola". The song – written by Pausini herself in collaboration with Madame, Dj Shablo, Paolo Carta and Luca Faraone – has had its world premiere in the world's biggest cities. With the help of Urban Vision and Amazon Prime, Laura Pausini performed in an exclusive 3D performance in Milan (Corso Garibaldi), Rome (Piazza Navona), Madrid (Plaza del Callao), Paris (Eiffel Tower), Mexico City (many screens were installed throughout the city), Brasilia (Asa Norte Boulevard), in Miami (Bay Side) and New York (Times Square).

In a short time, the new single official soundtrack of "Laura Pausini – Piacere di conoscerti", a documentary film that will see its protagonist on Amazon Prime Video – has conquered the iTunes charts of many countries. The song entered the top of the most purchased songs in Italy, Switzerland, South America and Spain. Precisely in Hispanic countries (Spain and Latin America), " Scatola ", which would be presented during the second evening of the "Festival di Sanremo", was released in Spanish. "Caja " literally moved everyone, demonstrating once again how much Laura Pausini – last year 's protagonist of the 2021 Oscars night with Diane Warren – is appreciated by the audience.

Laura Pausini talks about her new single

" The box I sing about is not a material object, it is a symbol of what contains our thoughts, our memories, our feelings, which holds what is true, contained in our heart, in our head. I asked myself this question and it intrigues me more today, like all of us I had two years where everything slowed down and I had more time to devote myself, to retrace many moments of a life so wonderfully normal that I was moved. I saw myself as a teenager, I thought back to the dreams I had and who I am today, looking for a meeting point. Until midnight and 41 minutes on March 10, 2021, a song arrived, written by Madame and dedicated to a teenage friendship, inspired by one of my posts in which I talked about my classmates. From the first listen, I read it immediately as a dialogue between the Laura of today and that of the past and in this key we saw it again and it became the song that seemed perfect for my return. I love being able to tell this little girl that I have not forgotten her and that even if fate has taken us far, even today and every day we are the same thing, the same person and I am more sure today than ever ."
